Our Offerings
All of our offerings start with naturally leavened sourdough. Sourdough is trendy, but that’s kind of justified. It’s better that way. I’m not going to waste your time explaining the benefits, I’m sure you’ve heard by now. If not google it or something. Equally important, all of our products are baked in a Belgian brick oven to provide crisp golden crusts with a luxurious pillowy interior.
Sourdough Loaves
Our golden brown sourdough loafs are 600g loaves perfect for sandwiches, dipping in your favorite olive oil, or just slathered in Irish Butter. Our recipe emphasizes balance and has light sourdough flavor that wont overpower and finishes clean.
Bagels
Crisp and chewy NYC style bagels. We offer plain, sesame and everything. They aren’t fancy, but the quality is top notch. No better bagel around.
Focaccia
Baked in well seasoned square Sicilian pans, the bottom is bubbly and crisp like an old school PH pan pizza. (and I mean the dine in PH with the colorful lamps and Galaga machines.) The toppings shine bright on our Focaccia borrowing from my Italian roots. I experiment with these weekly so check out hotplate for our weekly Focaccia specials. Bring one of these to a cocktail party to impress your friends, or a funeral to lighten the mood.
Pizza Kits
As a cottage bakery, we cant make pizza. BUT… we can provide you with all the tools to make a delicious pie that is at least 6x better than delivery and approximately 12x better than frozen.
Our pizza kits include a crisp and fluffy par-baked Sicilian crust, A can of high quality crushed San Marzano tomatoes with our proprietary sauce spice mix, and full pizza recipe. Just add cheese and your favorite toppings and bake! In less time than a frozen pizza, you’ll have pizza that rivals any of the finest east coast pizza institutions.

Hi, I’m Nate, founder of Crust Belt Bakery. If you know me, you know I am passionate about food. If you don’t know me, now you know I am passionate about food. Crust Belt Bakery is my avenue to serve the hard working people of Northeast Ohio through a savory bakery as genuine as the region itself. Our offerings change week to week, but I keep the staples on regularly. My baking style focuses on quality, leveraging generations of tradition with a unique flair. Crust Belt’s mission is to create bread, bagels and other stuff that is satisfying and memorable. This is a passion project. As such, I take no shortcuts and make no compromises on flavor or quality.
Cool story… How do I Order?
Crust Belt Bakery (in its present state) is a part time Cottage Bakery. We typically do all of our ordering through our hotplate page, but also do some events. The best way to know our schedule and weekly offerings is by following us on FB or Instagram. The pickup locations can be found on Hotplate or on our social media sites.
If you have a special event and you want some choice loaves, or maybe some bagels for work, we are also happy to accommodate special catering requests. Since I have a day job, depending on the volume and the timing, it may or may not work. For these special requests, contact us directly via email or phone.
